Earnings warning season is upon us. Some initial warnings are products not up to date (Motorola phones and Apple 604e usage) and computer sales slow down from lack of channel money of Compaq and IBM(resulted in Intel slow down). SEMI is insulated from those customers, but new opportunities is in electronics for the new homes. Homes sales is up 10% already. And large automobiles, which sells good for growing families. Small cars are not moving, Saturn just added another line of much larger car.
