I'll Try To Field That One...

I can't pull up the most recent earnings release announcement
from SEEK or the original Deutsche Telekom announcement, so
I'll go on memory.

To my knowledge, here's the state of play:

* Deutsche Telekom/SEEK and two other (I think) German
groups--maybe content providers--are teaming up on DT's
T/Online service, the premier "megasite" (for lack of
a better word) in Germany which draws something like
2 million site visitors (?).

* As it now stands, I still DON'T think this is a contract.
Last official word I heard, this was being referred to as
a Memorandum of Understanding, with no mention of dollar
amounts or any sort of financial quid pro quos.

* As you no doubt know, there's many a slip between cup
and lip... a MOU is NOT contract. But, I gather from the
earnings release announcement and SEEK's general business
overview therein that this DEAL has progressed. In fact,
if I'm not mistaken, there was at least ONE MORE GERMAN
"partner" mentioned in this recent piece than was mentioned
in the original announcement.

Hope this helps. Best Regards,

c m
