Overstocked & Out-A-Sight (we hope)

With the end of the year fast approaching, it's time to do some "Pre-Holiday" shelf cleaning. Now that we have finally settled into our new location, we've actually
have found the time to inventory our stock. In most retail oriented businesses, this concept of "inventory" is a typical time-honored practice. But since Evolution is
not the typical retail location, this concept is rather new to us.

Many sleepless nights passed as we studied the worlds finest inventory methods and worried about how this process would proceed. Leon suggested that we pick
up a pad of paper and write down all the items that were in our location. This of course turned out to be a brilliant idea and in the end, it actually worked.

While this scientific method was being carried out, a great realization began to form. It was determined that we have an excess amount of many items. Now, to
many, this might seem like "business as usual". But to us, it was a real shocker. We're not used to actually having physical inventory on hand. So, the question
arose; what do we do with all this extra inventory? After many hours of deliberation, we came to an incredible conclusion. Why not have a sale! This seemed like
a reasonable and just solution (or maybe just reasonable).

The following list represents many of the great bargains available. Many of these items are brand new(n), some our demos(d) and others are consignments units(c).
Quantities are very limited. If you're interested please notify us as soon as possible.

All of these items are in good to excellent condition. Many of them are still covered by their original warranty.

We do have multiples of certain items. But most are just one-of-a kind. If you have any questions concerning any unit, please contact us via phone, fax or e-mail.

PROJECTAVISION HAS LANDED

Three to four months after the initial release date, the Projectavision Digital Home Theater System has finally arrived. We've been "talking it up" even before we
saw the system at the private dealer showing last May. But like so many other "cutting edge" new products, by the time the company claims it will become
available, plan on adding another six to 12 months before you actually see it in the showroom.

We were beginning to think that maybe the unit would never show up! But even in the darkest moments a ray of light can poke through. In our case, it was a
rather brilliant ray, approximately 300 ANSI Lumens to be exact. That's enough to burn a hole into a few retinas!

For those of you that have missed my past ramblings concerning the unit, here is a historical refresher course.

The Projectavision unit is a complete front screen projection monitor/receiver that is also a complete rear screen projection monitor/receiver. Say what? Well, as
the old Certs commercials used to proclaim, "It's two, two, two monitors in one". The Projectavision system can be used as a 60" rear screen system (cabinet
included), or a front screen projector that can reproduce an image up to 260" measured diagonally. But that's just the beginning of the magic that this unit can
provide.

The Projectavision system is not your ordinary CRT or LCD projector. It is the future of projection systems utilizing the latest in digital video technology. Originally
developed by Texas Instruments (in their top secret underground lab located under the Carpathian Mountains), this new display technology is called Digital Light
Processing (DLP). The video signal is reproduced using two MicroMirror chips. Each chip contains 480,000 mirrors (go ahead, count 'em!). The picture is
reproduced through the digital domain.

What all this boils down to is a totally new way to reproduce video that will give the user unparalleled picture quality and flexibility. Since the picture is re-created
digitally, there is no need for a line-doubler. That can save you between $3,500 to over $10,000 right off the top. Because of it's digital architecture, it can be used
as a VGA or SVGA monitor without the dreaded burn-in" that occurs with CRT and LCD projectors. When you have a static picture on the screen (i.e.
computer/game menu bar), on a normal projector, the image can (over time) permanently burn into the guns. This results in a ghost image appearing on your
screen. Very annoying when watching a movie! With the Projectavision system, this will never happen.

What about HDTV, you ask? If, and when HDTV becomes a reality, you'll be able to ship the Projectavision (it weighs only 34lb.) back to factory for the HDTV
modification. For future video technologies, Projectavision will also be made available with component video inputs.

Unlike LCD projectors, the Projectavision looks great. No "chicken wire" look to the picture and you actually have control over contrast and brightness. The bulb
life of the normal LCD unit is between 250-500 hours. The Projectavision system has a bulb life of over 6000 hours. Like an LCD unit, the Projectavision is a one
gun system that can be set up in minutes. When taken out of it's rear screen housing, you just change the lens to the front screen mode. It has a variable zoom for
placing the unit almost anywhere in the room. It's about as difficult as setting up a slide projector.

Best of all the picture quality is superb. I dare you to compare it to an equivalently priced LCD unit. You'll be blown away! Once you see the Projectavision
system, you'll never look at any other LCD unit. The Projectavision Digital Home Theater System retails for $9,999. Evolution has it on display now.

THE "EVERYTHING YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT PROJECTAVISION & STEWART FILMSCREENS"
QUESTION & ANSWER WEEKEND

Digital Light Processing technology is so advanced, we're inviting all our members (and maybe a few stragglers) to a special weekend seminar hosted by
Evolution, Projectavision and Stewart Filmscreens. Because it's hard to demo the Projectavision system properly without a great screen, we thought you might
also want to meet the folks at Stewart Filmscreens. Both will be here Friday evening, November 21, from 6pm to 9pm and again on Saturday, November 22,
from 12pm to 5pm. Seating will be limited, so please call Evolution to confirm your space. Yes, refreshments will be served.

HARMANIZING ALONG WITH CITATION

Evolution just received the new Harman/Kardon Signature Series. The new Signature 2.0 Processor/Tuner is a Dolby Digital/Dolby Prologic/AM-FM tuner
preamp. Included are multiple digital inputs(6), composite and "S" switching, on-screen menus, learning remote, RS-232 port, and a six-channel input for other
digital surround applications. The Signature 2.0 retails for $2,499. Strangely enough, it bears an odd resemblance to the Citation 7.0, or more directly to the new
5.0 (not yet available). Along with the 2.0 unit, H/K released their new Signature 2.1 Multichannel Amplifier. A five channel design, with 100 watts per channel.
This new amp retails for $1,500. The audio performance of the Signature Series is excellent; especially when you consider the price vs. performance. It's certainly
up there with many other "high-end" pieces. With the inclusion of Dolby Digital, the Signature System is a true bargain and the quality is very "Citation-like".

Speaking of Citation, the latest word for 7.0 owners is still confusing. Apparently, Citation will cease making their 7.0 in favor of the new 7.0. The new unit will
include Dolby Digital and also DTS as a plug-in option. We've heard that Citation will give current 7.0 owners a substantial credit towards purchasing the new 7.0.
How much credit and when? At this time we have no further details.

DVD RUMOR MILL

Both Fox and Paramount are "rumored" to have inked exclusive deals with Zoom Technology. Disney, has also been "rumored" to sign a semi-exclusive deal. This
new company will provide the industry with pay-per-view DVDs. Zoom Technology incorporates DVIX(?) encoding on special DVDs. If this comes to pass, all
Fox, Paramount and a portion of Disney films (can you say animation?) will be available only on this new DVD format. Before watching a DVIX DVD, you'll have
to dial up the movie provider and pay a fee. After two playings, the DVD is useless...toss it in the trash! Or, they might charge full price after the first initial playings
and you'll now own the title with limitless plays. If DVIX comes to pass, it could clip a few feathers off the fledgling DVD format.

On a very important side note, all e-mail orders should now be addressed to orders@eavlaser.com.
