Here's a portion of the Q1 results press release.

"International Partners
Infoseek expanded its global reach during the quarter by reaching
agreement on plans to form a joint venture in Germany with Deutsche Telekom's
online service, Europe's largest Internet access provider; Axel Springer
Verlag, Germany's largest consumer media company; and Holtzbrinck, Germany's
premiere financial publisher. The joint venture will result in the launch of
a German language Infoseek branded search, navigation and content service
localized to serve the largest population of Internet users in Europe.
Infoseek extended its partnership with Microsoft in the U.K. with an
agreement that integrates the localized version of Infoseek.com directly into
Internet Explorer 4.0, which is rapidly gaining market share to become the
number one browser."

It sounds like some agreements have been made w\ DT at this time.

I know these companies make alliances w\ competitors, companies there suing, companies they hate, etc... But a deal to be in Microsoft's browser in England? If they do end up forging a deal w\ Netscape they sure weren't planning on it.
