Apple will get a lot of free publicity from this store. That alone may make the site worth the money spent on it, including the staffing.

I could have sworn I just posted something saying pretty much the same thing, but now can't find it. Well it might have been one of those postings I started, but never sent. Anyway, agree 100%! Advertising is expensive, so might as well try to make a profitable business that also genererates advertisement, than simply throwing it all away on more SuperBowl Ads.

Also nice to have a 24 hour place to go to get something fixed if you are on a deadline.

Wonder how far people will come just for that...It's 2AM in Boston or DC and someone desperately needs help to meet a deadline, say some big lawsuit or bill for example. Are there places in these cities where they could go 24 hours? I know Staples has some 24 hours stores in some places (though not 24/7/365, only weekdays from what I've seen).

At first, I was thinking round-trip time, but any company with that need probably has someone in NYC they can call on. Plus they can even work in transit during the few hours drive (someone else driving) if it were that urgent.
