Citrix Wins Crossroads Product of the Year Award; Company's WinFrame
Thin-Client/Server Software Named Best of Class for Innovations

BusinessWire, Tuesday, March 17, 1998 at 18:23

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 17, 1998--Citrix
Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTXS) today announced that Open Systems
Advisors, Inc., (OSA), a leading industry analyst group, has named
WinFrame thin-client/server system software the 1998 Crossroads
Product of the Year for its innovative contribution in the category of
technology infrastructure.
The only industry award based on interviews with customers, Open
Systems Advisors' Crossroads A-List Awards honor the year's best new
enterprise solutions. Crossroads Product of the Year Awards are based
upon ongoing interviews with IT executives who are using the product.
"OSA believes that positive, real-world customer experiences are
the true measure of a product's success," said Nina Lytton, president
of Open Systems Advisors, Inc. "This is a significant award, as
recipients have not only received outstanding product tests but have
also shown a proven track record with IT executives operating in
mission-critical environments."
The award selection process consists of a year-long research
effort by OSA that includes reviews of products, services and
strategies, as well as in-depth interviews with experienced customers.
All products are measured against OSA's exclusive criteria for
enterprise-wide computing, including their importance in achieving
business results, increasing sales, improving customer service,
shortening time to market and interoperability in a multi-vendor
environment consisting of PCs, UNIX, and traditional systems.
"We are pleased to receive the Crossroads award from those who
know us best: our customers," said David Weiss, director of product
management for Citrix. "We remain committed to providing customers
with the most sophisticated thin-client/server technology available."
