What a story about your brother. He is an inspiration as are the 12 medics from St. Vincent Hospital in New York who flew on their own to Pakistan and are setting up field stations where the injured and sick are brought as the survivors of the earthquake. It was a magnificent tribute aired by 60 Minutes Last night to the magnanimous hearts of some people who truly care and do something concrete about it.

Their point too is that many Muslim children will remember that Americans saved their lives. That Americans came to their country when no on else did and treated the sick, wounded and all victims of that tragedy. What I cannot grasp personally is why so few are there helping. Of course the program depicted that these were remote villages. Some parents would carry their injure children miles and miles to bring them for help. Very moving.

Hope more of you saw it.
