I don't think anyone is saying gold cannot be loaned. However, it is the derivatives that are the problem. When you loan more than you have, many times over, this is fundamentally wrong, especially when you make it appear this is not the case. Sooner or later there will be a run on the bank...something will trigger a loss of confidence in this method of money ($) making.

You guys are all far more technical and knowledgeable in this than myself...I can only look at this from a laymans point of view.
