"Should insurers really be in business in the first place?"

The problem with them is, the less service they provide to the most customers, the fatter their bottom line. The French system is composed of many private insurers, but they are tightly regulated by the government. Their system ranks #1 in the world, and everyone is covered.

Health shouldn't be a commodity.
