Hi Matthew - I was under the same impression and would like to see the company announce another! I believe the purchase plan ended October 31, 1996. I recall there was some restriction on extending the amount but I was never clear as to the reason why. Perhaps somebody on this board <Joe, Salah, Jon, or others) can answer because it seems like we would never get an accurate answer from Novell <G>.

P.S. This would really help support the stock and would increase the impact for more "positive" earnings in the future. Novell really has too many shares outstanding which need to be reduced over time. Think of a buy-back as a dividend to shareholders. I think we would all agree that we (shareholders) need one.
