Roger,

Is Qualcomm (QCOM) still on your watch list of shorts? (30-day low approximately 44, current price 52). There seems to be a lot of debate about the viability of Qualcomm's CDMA technology. About 18 months ago, a Stanford engineering professor trashed the technology in a lead Wall Street Journal article, saying they would never be able to meet their performance commitments. A recent issue of Telephony magazine did the same. But there are staunch defenders on the QCOM thread about the technical capabilities of the CDMA approach to digital telecomunications, comments that suggest one ought to be cautious. Does your engineering expertise extend into this area? Anyone else on the thread?

Thanks.

Carl
