Mike...the best person to explain that to you is a software developer. In any event it would mean that each and every account in a company's data base would have to be rewritten either in cobol...or a new language...it would still be a major time and money consuming task. This isn't MY opinion, it's the opinion of technology analysts who have written extensively on the subject on these threads and others...just look up Year 2000 on the Internet and you'll see what I mean.
