thread, Our family prayer time tonite just had me and my teenagers. Lord...I praise God for wonderful kids. We had spent about an hour before prayer listening to one of their new albums. Another thing I praise God for .....our teens and I can sing to the same rock christian songs. Music is really a personal preference issue in scripture as long as the music lifts up Jesus by either Praise to God, about our christian realtionship with God, about our relationships with each other, or about christian outreach to the world( some of they latter use parable style like Jesus did). I don't think the instruments are in themselves evil. Paal clearly stated this. The motives of the musicans and the lyrics far out weigh guitars and drums and how loud it is. I'm postive that scipture supports that how loud it is cannot be unholy. But, christians are wired different and they should quite trying to force other christians to listen to their music or stating that one music style is above another. I said music style for clearly just laying on my face and worshipping the Father makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. There is no scriptures on this . It a prefernece that God allows. I got a real laugh lately over Pat Boone and his statement about music. My post is really all he is saying. I think it's sad that some people forced TBN to cancel his show and others are trying to take more drastic measures. This is clearly wrong on TBN's part but I know that Pat Boone has probably said that if my doing this hurts TBN then he wants them to cancel his show to. I guess if they could do it they would bring out the stake and light the fire and burn him. I'm not saying they don't have the right to do this but I'm calling TBN and indicating that if they drop Pat Boone I think it is a tradegy.... of course as a personal preference the normal music that Pat Boone's plays never did excite me that much... as a preference I wasn't wired that way. But, I support him now. I posted on God and music, my next post will be God and money. I guess I'm taking on all the controversy I can handle. God Bless
