Hawk....could you comment a bit more about this.... Did Gen McCaffrey have a press conference or write an article...? I've just returned from a trip, and will leave tomorrow for another short one...but wondered what the background of this was...How would/could Rumsfeld and Franks violate army doctrine? TIA Btw, General Barry R. McCaffrey made some good points about Franks not including an Armored Cavalry Regiment to conduct screening operations to protect the main body and supply train of the 3rd ID. In essence, he accuses both Rumsfeld and Franks of violating Army doctrine. And as we watch events unfold, I can only concur.
