In a few hundred years people may look back on this era and see our racist incarceration of people of color in America as quite the crime against humanity. I will find that out a few centuries from now when I am unfrozen and cured of whatever killed me. Maybe I'll see you around then? ;-) Well, I don't think America will be singled out from all the other places and times when slavery was widely practiced. We don't get all lathered up now about all the injustices of the past world -- we just chalk it up to the steady progress of humankind from the darker ages to the enlightened ones. I agree with you, though, that many of our cultural ways right now will be looked back upon with disdain if not even revulsion (eating our animals, perhaps?)
