Prices on Deskpro EN Series Desktops

Price Reductions as High as 9 Percent

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 15, 1999--Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE:CPQ - news)
today announced price reductions of up to nine percent on selected Deskpro EN Series models. These
price reductions reinforce Compaq's commitment to provide corporate customers with the best
enterprise solutions at exceptional values. Prices and price reductions are based on estimated U.S.
selling prices. Reseller prices may vary. All configurations include Windows 95 and the Compaq 15-inch
V500 monitor.

Topping the list with a nine percent reduction is the Compaq Deskpro EN Pentium II 400 MHz with 32
MB of RAM, selling for $1495 with monitor included. Other great deals are available on Celeron 400
MHz, Pentium II 350 MHz, and other Pentium II 400 MHz models. For more information on all
