VZ: Not really a great value stock, imo. Nor maybe not even a "good" value. Still, I have shares from 2/12, and I've recently added a little(last week). I missed today's price; I'll try for a small add tomorrow. This stock could be okay/good for a "mom" account. Nice dividend, company is one of few in its segment, and there seem to be barriers for entry. VZ possibly an okay place to park money. I like to bet on companies whose products and services I use. (I have been criticized for this propensity.) I'm a customer of VZ, and because of that, perhaps I look more favorably at holding a position in the stock than a more unbiased person would.
