LGND The stock was able to close yesterday above its Feb.18 H as well as its June 2003 H

It had several "good news" including its $0.10 earnings for the 4thQ, which were on the black column for the first time <g> and 211% better than the $0.9 loss in 2002 <g>

The earnings improvement apparently was due mainly to its long acting morphine sulfate drug Avinza, which increased its sales to $32M from $2M in 2002. (with the deal with CAH which will help on the manufacturing and almost double its capacity to make the drug, the sales are expected to continue its fast growth.<g>)

The earnings for 2004 are expected to be on the black somewhere around $0.12 and above $0.45 for 2005.<g>

The 4thQ revenues were also impressive: $57.6M vs.$27.3M in 2002 in spite that the sales of Ontak fell slightly to $7.1M from $7.4M in 2002.(LGND announced this week a deal with Hollister-Stier to manufacture Ontak)

Today LGND has continued its forward move, albeit at a much moderate volume, but with no apparent intention of closing yesterday's up-gap.<g>

It seems the stock should be able to test its March 2002 H at 20.50 But it may wait for a whole to test its March 2000 H at 26.50 (Apparently March is a lucky month for LGND <g>)
