Hi Peter,

SS will not go away. You could just as easily wish for the IRS to go away and they won't. What will happen, is that SS will shrink with revenue vs dependents. The IRS will continue to squeeze every nickle they can out of you, My advice is for you to pay your taxes and plan for your own retirement.

PS. Rural property is cheap and owner financed everywhere. It's easier than buying a car. I recommend buying it for investment purposes and enjoyment. Go for 20 acres plus. You won't regret it.
