Ann...I apologize. My remark WAS flippant and uncalled for.

But..I do think Pope Benedict should have been well aware of the controversy he'd create by using that quote and the danger he might create to Christians everywhere, especially in Muslim countries.

He also previously said that Turkey should not be allowed into the European Union because Turkey was a Muslim nation.

I think we are seeing a bit of a pattern here.
