For a couple days, yes! If you stay with this stock for another 5 years, then don't worry. When you are the leader of the pack, you are gonna get your shots, especially when it involves sex.... Journalists want to blow this thing up as much as they can. Nowadays, news is no longer news, it's just a venue to sell ads.

you realize that these are just letters, not very well controlled scientific reports. As a reader, you can write letters to a journal (well respected or not!). If what you say in the letter is controversial enough (not necessarily scientific), the editors will print it. Cell, Science, Nature are extremely high caliber journals, however, every now and then, they publish craps too!
