FOR REVOLV - receive revenue based on the minutes of use (MOU) in its NOC

THERE HAVE BEEN QUESTIONS ON THIS BOARD ABOUT HOW GMGC will receive revenues from Revolv.

This comes from Markman's 2/12/99 memo. This memo does not appear on the www.generalmagic.com home page. If you click on the memo pad, it brings you to generalmagic.com where his 2/12/99 memo is. An excerpt is as follows:

General Magic plans to receive revenue based on the minutes of use (MOU) in its NOC. So you can see that the business model for this venture is identical to the model we have been developing for Porticoâ„¢ with the telecom carriers. However, the target market for this service is the enterprise market which has a clear need for well managed, secure remote access to corporate information. Without magicTalk, the Revolv service requires wireless data devices like browser equipped phones. With magicTalk, Revolv can be accessed using any telephone, without the need for special equipment. This means quick implementation, and we believe it will result in quicker sales and greater market penetration.
