His saying it doesn't make it so. FORE Systems shipped the first commercial ATM switch. FORE has a long string of "firsts" in the ATM market, right up to this summer when FORE will ship the first non-blocking 40G ATM switch with the first OC-48c network modules. That's interesting, b/c the folks at BCTel claim they started the movement and sold out to NN. In fact, the guys responsible showed up in one of NN's affiliates as top management. I forget which one. Maybe someone else remembers. I'm certainly not the one to decide who's right. Fore and NN are both early in the game --- both great companies --- and I suspect they'd both rather have market share than be first out of the gate. Later -- Pat
