will still be, in my opinion, through moving away from just a software tools provider to
a direction of media and telecommunication control and (perhaps even manipulation)!


Perhaps? I'd say absolutely. I even think the DOJ might eventually scrutinize all these new media investments on the part of MSFT. I strongly agree with you though on MSFT's aggressive move into that arena. And while they're buying time to switch to media, they fuss and make noise about Java.
