They deal with global networks, and they have to expect a population of users and customers that aren't just remote but actually roaming. Which wireless data technologies should they be aware of? When will we see a common radio standard so we can network anywhere or everywhere?

Art Feather (AF): "Let's answer your last question first. To emphasize Bruce's point, there isn't a common radio standard in the offing. We expect to see W-CDMA from 3GPP, cdma2000 from 3GPP2, and a new TDMA standard from UWC-136. However, Cisco has turned its attention and resources to formulating a common application service layer across all standards so that a common radio standard is irrelevant.
