Haha.. I've always suspected this as well. Mr. Babcock seems to be the ONLY one this adamant about endorsing Datek and highlighting only the good points of Datek.
Nevertheless, I, along with others, are feeling a bit better now that Jeff K of Datek is posting frequently here. I hope others really are having their problems resolved. Posting info is fine, but what really matters is the resolution of problems--or better yet, the elimination of problems (or prevention of problems) in the first place.
Jeff, what is the delay in the Check writing feature? It's been claimed by Datek it will be offered 'shortly' for as long as I can remember. If I can write a check against my funds, I would never worry about wiring funds anymore.
Lastly, I have no desire to see Datek go out of business. I am all for Datek becoming the best brokerage--as I use them. Now having said that, Datek has a lot of problems currently. They need to 'fess' up and tell it like it is, instead of denying any responsibilities. It would be a lie to say Datek is wonderful now. Lots of problems everyday. Just today, Expressorder 7 was down frequently throughout the day and the other servers were (order8 for instance) severely overloaded and SLOW!
It is the problems in aggregate that really starts to frustrate me. I need all the help I can get. One day it's slow exeuction, another it's wiring problems, the third, the servers are down. Everyday it's another problem. Taken as a whole, it really puts the patron at unease.
