Copy C:\WINDOWS folder ...

Just curious, why would anyone want to copy the contents of C:\WINDOWS to another location? Backup?

Anyway, it's nice to know a way around the pot-hole.

Thanks, PW.

P.S. If one still insists on copying all the folder, they could get WIN386.SWP copied by disabling virtual memory. Right-click My Computer, select Properties, click Performance tab, click Virtual Memory button and select 'Let me specify my own ...' and check the Disable box. Reboot. Enjoy your slower system until VM enabled again.

P.P.S. Could go to MS-DOS MODE and issue XCOPY C:\WINDOWS\*.* from command line. (Don't forget appropriate switches.)
