>>>Same thing with Duke Power in the Carolinas<<<

Why is Duke then resisting deregulation???

Why did FERC recently strip Duke of its market based rate authority when it found them guilty of affiliate abuse???

Why did freshman Senator Richard Burr accept $200K from Duke, and attempt to add a provision to the 2005 Energy Policy Act which would have banned RTOs in Dixie.

Power may be cheap in the Dixie. Compared to California it is free. But is the real cost in Dixie maybe half of what the utilities are charging??? Mind you I am in business and want/expect/need to make a profit, and I don't begrudge Duke a profit. But I don't have some bought and paid for senator manipulating the market in my direction.
