"That's not true for me. :) What page are you using? On finance.yahoo.com I just typed in "MN" and it auto completes as a ticker. It also has two buttons "Search Finance" and "Search Web"." The search on top of " my yahoo" is just a basic web search. There used to be a field in the portfolio box of the "my yahoo" page that was for quotes only, but that has been gone for a while.
