OT: Typically, I believe they allowed programers to make the financial page design decisions without ever consulting financial people. This happens with web pages in lots of industries. I have personally fought some of these web page design battles with several of my clients. Raptech, Does it have something to do with server load vs. the number of interactive links open on a page? At my company this was an issue for some things on our intranet, and the web folks pushed for a reduced feature set to improve response times.
