Paul,
You analysis of Pentium Motherboard prices should include more than just Intel Atlantis.
They range from $99 to the $200+ range. Pentium Pro Motherboards are significantly more.
I was wondering if this had more to do with manufacturing costs or just a premium on them.
This would play a big part in whether the PP becomes widely accepted.
I`m also having trouble as to why the Pentium Pro would become the new standard
if just plugging in the M2 or K6 would get better speed than the Pentium Pro.
Seems as though if Intel wants to up the ante (like Intel did when then went to the Pentium)
then they will have to skip the Pentium Pro and go to the P7 ASAP.
Then...what`s gonna run on it?

Jim
