You're drinking the Kool-Aid if you think this bill actually does the health insurance companies a favor.
Well, this is the latest of the right wing voodoo messaging..."the bill is so good for insurance companies that their stock price hit an all time high last week".
The lazy bastards can't be bothered to do some real analysis, so the next best thing is to read tea leaves. The far left is joining in on this complaint by the way, angry that a public option is gone by the wayside, which is what is contributing to falling health care polls by the way, contrary to the convenient but incorrect interpretation of the right.
Basically, you guys have a message for every group.
When talking to seniors, the bill will cut Medicare 500B and create death panels to save the money. When talking to the common folk, the bill will tax the shit out of everybody and explode entitlements.
So which is it? Make up your mind. We have the most expensive per capita health care by far and millions without insurance. What are YOU gonna do? The lame right wing proposals on tort? That's another way of doing "nothing", which is backed by years of inaction, when in power...and when not, back to obstruction and dirty scare mongering tactics...then complain that "we've been cut out of the process"...give me a break...when in the minority, you have to be a productive contributor before you have retained the right to be part of the process...not go home as grassley did and vilify it for political favor.
It's become a glaring display of what's wrong with the American political system.
By the way, if you still believe that the press is predominantly liberal, then you were not making the rounds of the political shows this morning, and you must not have been paying attention for the last several months.
