Despite the media hype of the rapid growth of broadband, the number of broadband users is a drop in the bucket compared to the millions of traditional dial-up modem users. The cable vs. DSL (digital subscriber line) war has only just begun.

This reminds me of the tortoise and hare race. The hare is about 5 years ahead of the tortoise's customer base which is an understatement looking 5 years out.
