Your "assurance" spins my post without addressing what I actually said. I did NOT say that callback now involves Java, I'm saying that:

1) the callback business grew quickly and
2) the same economics will drive internet telephony, which is
another economic force changing how business is organized.

This is in direct opposition to what I thought sounded like an arrogant dismissal of "Webphone" in another posting.

As for your claim to assess Java prospects by comparing their time frames with callback: callback is easier to do, that's why everyone is jumping in at once and making money. Not everyone can write a Java Virtual Machine and then implement a lot of apps on top of it - this takes time. I really think Java is coming on fast, not slowly like you.

Do you care that real businesses are investing lots of money in the IP telephony business, expecting to also make a lot of money? Bet I'm safer betting on those who are investing these billions than on your opinions.
