Rhapsody DR1 was released yesterday, which is an important milestone
for the new OS for Apple as well as developers. A lot of positive
feedbacks from developers immediately following the release.

Now, around 10,000 software developers can start porting their
software to this new platform - re-compiling, re-linking, and
follow-up enhancements, etc...

The Rhapsody for Intel chips will be released by the end of this
month, which will allow developers on WinTel platform port their
software onto Rhapsody.

I believe some of applications on Unix-based will start porting
to see if it is efficient enough to run the programs on MAC PowerPC
chips, and how long for a fair complicated program to port and how
good on testing benchmarks compared to its original platforms.
I think it will take at least a couple of months to find out those
benchmark data. However, Rhapsody DR1's delivery is on time, which
is a positive mark for Apple and its investors.
