carl, my profile is on the steve thread. I help start the pc industry i was one of the first people hired by cpq computer...their systems mgr. I was a systems mgr over all the manufacturing related systems for cpq for 10 yrs. I invented the word MRPII and Repetitve mfg'ing processes. I pioneered the implementation of TQM/JIT in the pc industry. I was one of the first ELM implementations in the world. ELM is a 10 second mrp regeneration system. I have several undergrad degrees but I'm alittle short of PhD in Econmics and on and on and on With all that I can say one thing for sure.... money is never a goal it's an illusion. At no time was money ever a goal in all my inventions and living on the naked edge of the pc industry for 15 yrs and as an innovator in manfacturing the 14 yrs prior to joining CPQ. ps. I never criticize Paul's BIO. I just made a comment about one of the quotes... Paul and I both have reconciled that comment. I hope all that bio stuff helped you<g> the cpq thread and the steve thread have it all.
