Looking at monthly (log base) charts, it appears like we're coming to significant BB pinches on the $HUI, $Gold and $Silver. $HUI chart:

If it plays out like the last pinch, then the low, coinciding with a lower BB touch at around HUI 275, would come in about four months from now (September), but after that the long, sideways pinch would not yield to a break upwards (hitting the upper, diverging BB) for another six months (March, '08). Of course, the BB pinch this time could be short, not drawn out like last time.

$Gold monthly:

Though the BBs spread much wider in this last leg up, they're now closing rapidly. A pinch the same size as the last could come in the September to December time frame, depending on when the BBs start to reverse curvature. A goldbug downer is the consideration that, should the $Gold appreciation rate revert to the mean from '02 to mid-'05, it could drop to $575 or so, even dip below, and still be in a long term bull move. This, of course, would result in multiple goldbug suicides, even should the $Gold bull continue. ;o)

$Silver Monthly:

Similar to $Gold, except the big bull move started well over a year later. The current high rate of BB closure could again result in a pinch equivalent to the preceding one, this time in the September to December time frame (no guarantees!). Reversion to the rate of increase as in the first two years of the $Silver bull could drop the price down to the $10 to $11 range or so, again with the bull intact.

My pretty fractal on the $Silver weekly shows a pop coming in September or October, if it plays out, with a drop no lower than about $12.50 before then. It is more bullish in a shorter time frame than are the monthly charts:

The common denominator is that September seems to be the time to start looking for a major move. Of course, that move could be down as well as up. My feeling is that the next major move comes in the September to December time frame, but that's just by eyeballing the BB pinches wrt time, FWIW.
