Yes, but real-time systems engineers aren't just good programmers, they're a rare and precious breed. there's a learning curve of a year of so and it requires special aptitude for both hardware and software, I'd say in the aerospace talent pool we'll get one in a 1000 programmers that's good at it. (I found 'em!) It's just not taught in schools. The Israelis may be the exception. They know this business from its use in defense applications, I think the schools may teach it there. PS do you work for WIND? Up to your armpits in its stock? Regards, B
