NO, there's NO consensus in either party, but right now the Dems have moved farther to the left and the Repubs have moved farther to the right. That means NO compromise on anything... Which means we will probably see at least a government shutdown and possibly a government default. A shutdown we could live with but a default is uncharted territory and that could be pretty bad...
