OT OT Greg: re--tech & W. Buffett/BRK It worries me when the greatest investor in the world, who has shunned technology his entire investing life, has finally invested in one. He sure picked a boring one though. My 2 cents: Since a child, I've been sleeping thru Mr. Buffett's annual sermons for the past 21 years. Despite his public stance against being enamored of hi-tech equities, he hasn't written off this sector entirely. You know, Greg, that majority of his close buddies are hi-tech tycoons. Prior to the BI stake, he elected to enter this arena via the back door, its applications to enhance the products of his subsidiaries. Saw a statement recently: "...buffett's days are over...". Too early, buddy??? Something wrong with Mr. Buffett's approach? Yes and no depending upon an individual's point of view. Achieving one's objective is what counts. The journey there maybe different depending upon one's style, temper and risk tolerance, not counting the sleepless nights among others! di
