Your appearance is a reasonable indicator that we're at or near the bottom of this decline. As I, and so many other investors who have made fortunes with Microsoft realize, the journey isn't without bumps and detours. When you hit some bumpy road, do you assume you're going to the moon? That's what basing your assessment of a company on temporary declines gets you: Your compass points the wrong way. Anyway, in recent months your assessment appears correct. Don't fool yourself, Microsoft is a good company and a good investment. It has, and will continue, to make many people wealthy, although it appears you won't be among them. That's your loss.
