On the front page of today's business section of a bay area paper[color picture included], the following article,

Redwood city based Digital persona inc.is about to ship a device that makes a users fingerprint their password on their computer.The company's 1st product is called U ARE U and at $99 they hope they crack the the market that has been waiting for an inexpensive device of this kind.The company is targeting corporations in it's initial marketing push,but will also aim at retail,home and small office markets and expects to be on the market early next year.

"The big opportunity is comming up with a cheap solution that would limit access to data" an analyst with Sutro & co. said,"The field is moving forward and potentially is a huge market." But there is much uncertanty who will emerge as the market leader .Competition will be keen from newcomers & established co's such as San Francisco's Identicator, Sunnyvale's Identix or others. At last weeks COMDEX show CEO Fabio Righi said "We were swamped with
people interested in the product."

I think we are in BIG TROUBLE. Digital Persona has hired Fabio to run their company. Pretty soon every trailer-dwelling lonely woman will be flocking to Wal-Mart to buy a U are U hoping to get a glimpse of Fabio's heaving chest! Quick, tell Randy to hit the weights!
