They are not under threats of their very existence. That is the excuse used by people to make and do all sorts of obnoxious acts. The plan is to continually grab as much land as possible now with the wall and previously with the settlements. The settlers interviewed even said it.

Put off as long as possible making reparation payments until the Palestinians who were alive in 47/48 when they were driven out are all dead. Then follow Deshowitz's logic that the heirs aren't entitled to anything.

It's amazing what you can drive human beings to do. Human beings do not want to comit suicide (even for 50 virgins). The normal question to ask is what has been done to them to drive them to this?
