Seriously, would someone actually fly to Rome to stalk someone (I do reside in the U.S.).

If you travel extensively, as I do, you eventually run across celebrities. I meet many people, some happen to be well-known, that's all. For instance, back in the early 80s I met Telly Savalas in a New York bar and he and a couple of my business buddies chatted till closing -- years later I was staying at the Sheraton Grande in NY and he had the suite across from mine. We ended up having breakfast together. Now, was I stalking him or what?

Michele Lee and I met at a bar in LAX back when she was doing the Knot's Landing TV show. Some of the production crew was with her. Later, when I boarded the plane (United Airlines) I sat next to her in First Class (I had an upgrade) on the flight to New York. We had an enjoyable talk across the U.S. and never once discussed the show or show business in general. This was about 1986 or '87. I never saw her again.

At the Farmer's Market in 1982 I met Jeff Goldblum and we talked awhile before he returned to the CBS studios next door. Before he left he gave me an apple a variety of which -- he insisted -- was the best he'd ever tried. (The apple tasted like any other to me.)

Anyway, what I said is true. And she is very beautiful.
