jas,

I connected, at 0530 PST. The support person thought the converted data was somehow corrupted and suggested that I temporarily re-install Quicken 97. I asked him why I needed this bloated, slow, and quite possibly bug ridden new version if I had to reinstall the old version anyway. He didn't have a good reason.

I spent a bit of time reinstalling/configuring the old version of Quicken and will be happy with it. I will return the new software for a refund in the very near future.

Wonder if Intuit would be a good short candidate? If our experience is any indication I feel there will be many returns of the software.

In the interim I would suggest to anyone contemplating upgrading to Quicken 98 that they hold off, talk to others who have upgraded before making the move.

Above is MHO only and reflects the frustration of my Quicken 98 experience over the past 12 hours. Others may have different feelings.
