Did the PC Magazine Editor's Choice award to Photo-Paint 7 get noted on the thread? This is very significant. Photoshop is Adobe's biggest application and provided around $189M in revenue to Adobe in 1996. The Windows market for image editing software is where the growth is, of course, and while Adobe has virtually a strangehold on anyone migrating over from the Mac, the uses of imaging software are quite broad and Corel can reasonably expect to get its share, maybe 25% or more if it keeps winning awards like this. Note that last year Photo-Paint did less than $5M. The review was in the April 22 PC Magazine at: pcmag.com
