Ben,

1995 1994
Revenues $ 519,146,000 $ 430,736,000
Inc bef items 100,727,000 77,864,000
Extrd items * (38,000,000) .......
Net Income 62,127,00 77,864,000

Shr. erns.
inc. bef items .41 .36
Extrd. items (15) .....
Net income .26 .36

NOTE: The * refers to a one-time charge which includes 3 cents a share
to cover the costs associated with completing the McData acquisition
and 12 cents a share for the one-time operating charges related to
end-of -life products and inventory.

EMC also announced a buyback of 15 million shares over next five years for
employee stock program and stock options.

Total profits rose to 100.7 million (.41/sh.) from net income of 77.9 million
(.36/sh.) a year ago.

Ben the stock rose in after hours market to close at 20 1/2!!
I think it looks good, just hoping analysts agree, the earnings will be
strong going forward, my only concern is how the acqusition write off is
perceived by the street. The way the stock performed late in the day, can
all those 4.8 mil. shares purchased be wrong?, I don't think so!

Sleep well,
Rich
