Creede, by all means, let the debate begin. We learn more that way. For me the first step is to look at what they do, or intend to do, and decide whether I am comfortable with it. Online gambling stocks have gotten a lot of attention, some have claimed some eye-popping gains, but I am not comfortable with them so I ignore them.
I think your TF criteria is the place to start with the DD on pinkies (the first change in my DD methods BTW). Next, I would look at who is behind the company. That would then be followed by a look at any available financials/reports. Last is a more in-depth review of the business model, product, etc.
My, albeit limited, experience has been that the business is unimportant if the wrong people are involved. Also, even if the SS is acceptable initially the wrong people can, and will, change it for the worse sooner or later. And, of course, the wrong people can skew the financials and reports making them unreliable. I have seen all of these things happen in a single company.
