MM, unlike our Bush voters here, I actually believe that Obama is AWARE of the dangers of our deficits and debts. I think when the economy is out of danger, he WILL address them. Unlike the (R)'s with Dick Cheney saying "Deficits don't matter..", he's very well aware that they DO matter and has said so.

Unfortunately, he was handed a RUINED economy by the previous administration. He was also handed record low interest rates, so slashing them was not a tool he had available. On the advice of pretty much ALL economists, he's attempted to make up for the contraction of private spending with government spending - a practice ALL presidents have used in less grave situations.
