Ramblings on Volume - Think Pyramid
Consider a 4 story pyramid with the following levels: ====================================================== Pioneers - That's us. We discovered the gem.
2nd Generation - Pioneers' friends, coworkers and relatives who bought the story
3rd Generation - friends, coworkers and relatives of the 2nd generation folks and, of course, the skeptical ones from before
4th Generation - general public buying and institutions ======================================================
1) Let's start with 50 pioneers (the story tellers) 2) Each pioneer tells 20 people (friends,etc.) --> 2nd gen'ers 3) Each 2nd gen'er tells 20 people --> 3rd gen'ers 4) Each 3rd gen'er tells 20 people --> 4th gen'ers
Of course, not all will buy at each level but let's say 50% do: Pioneers - 50 buyers 2nd Gen'ers - 50 x 10 = 500 buyers 3rd Gen'ers - 500 x (10+5) = 7,500 buyers 4th Gen'ers - 7,500 x (10+7) = 127,500 buyers
As you can see a lot of buying power is created exponentially. I believe we're experiencing some 3rd gen purchases as I can personally attest to considering my mother called me last night to get the web site address of Wave for some friends of hers (nightmare, but that's another story)
Sorry for the ramblings, I was doodling on a pad and thought I'd share
